yeah... I'm going to hike to some waterfalls on Sunday, so I probably won't be complaining about it then either.

I just hate to see so many cool events canceled :( .... but I suppose they can be rescheduled and we'll have more without having to dodge lightning bolts.

Oh no, we need the rain not only for our lakes, streams and everyday use, but it makes for an awesome waterfall and challenging river crossings.

Since our beginner backpacking trip was cancelled for this past weekend, I gathered a couple of friends and took off to the Cohuttas yesterday. It's the same hike I'm doing next weekend. Some of the river crossings on the Conasauga were over thigh high.. Woohoo. Compared to last years ankle deep water, I was a happy hiker and Panther Creek falls was flowing nicely as well.

Well I ended up at Mingo Falls and Ramsey Cascades, so the rain did me some good too. I'm glad to hear the mighty Conasauga is at higher levels....still looking forward to experiencing it this coming weekend. :)
