AOC Picnic

Postby tcollins on Wed Apr 02, 2008 1:14 pm

Hey everyone,
We're starting the annual AOC Picnic's again. This year will be at Red Top Mtn on June 21st. This is the first day of summer and the perfect time for a picnic. WOO HOO!
We have an entire section reserved for us, including 3 pavilions and large fields, so we can have a lot of privacy.
It will include food and soft drinks. We'll also have quite a few activities and games. Some traditional, and some not.
We're expecting a huge crowd (maybe 100), so it should be lots of fun. :D

Complete details will be posted on the AOC calendar soon.

We'll be needing several volunteers to help out. We have 4 areas that we will need help in.
Setup - Get there early and help set everything up
Food - Help with the preparing, cooking, and/or serving the food
Activities / Games - Help with the organizing and running of these
Clean up - The least favorite, but someone has to do it.
If you want to help, just reply here and if you have a preference for what area.

Hi Tom,
This is the same day I am having my birthday bash at Dave's house. What timeframe is the picnic?

It's not set yet. I'm thinking maybe 11 to 5. I'm not sure how long they used to last.

I am assuming you waive the $15 fee for volunteers?

I'll help organize/run one of the games or activities. I will probably get there early and will help with the setup also.

That is a ways out, but I should be able to help with the clean up.

I would prefer to help with the set-up. But if I'm needed elsewhere that's fine too.
