Let's get a few options. Do recall, on Sunday, you'll most likely be returning with the same party!

Ok, so our choices are meeting at the Indian Trail P&R or the Chastain P&R? Well, I live in Kennesaw so of course I'm going to say Chastain P&R!

Parking concerns

Postby Thorfinnr on Wed Apr 02, 2008 3:47 pm

I am pretty good with directions so any place is fine as long as someone tells me how to get there. I live an hour South of Atlanta and don't deal on the North side much. My only concern is security for my vehicle over the weekend. I would prefer not to park in a crime-ridden area.

I've used Costco on Barrett Pkwy as a place to have overnight parking for one of my events. There were not any problems of crime at all at that time. I would think the cars would be pretty safe.

Hey,
I was just checking in to see if there were any "firm" carpool plans for the upcoming trip.
If it helps with planning I am willing to drive, but I would prefer to carpool.
Also, due to a massive amount of homework I think it would be best if I am with the group that is planning on heading back after breakfast on Sunday.
Thanks guys, I am really looking forward to this trip :D

Since we have a few replies, the next big quesiton is - WHAT TIME do you want to depart. Since it w/b a Friday afternoon, and it will take about 4-5 hours to get there, depending on food stops/fuel, we'll need to set a time.

I have this Friday off and have contemplated departing early, but I can stick around ATL if I know for sure we have more wanting to carpool.

What is the earliest you could be at Chastain P&R on Friday?

SO, from 575

carpool

Postby jjcaves on Tue Apr 15, 2008 10:45 am

Hey guys,

I would like to leave with the early crew on friday, though probably no earlier than 3pm. I'm also suffering from major homeworkitis, and would like to leave on the early side sunday. I can meet wherever, just need directions.

See ya,
Josie

I probably can't get up to the carpool spots till about 3:00 or 3:30, but if anyone needs a ride and is leaving around the same time, they can ride up with me.

Josie you can probably ride up with me... I'm aiming to get to Chastain road P&R by 3:00-3:30. For the ride home, I might be going hiking, so not sure when I'm leaving.

Hey Dan,
That sounds good! I live in the virginia highlands, but I can meet you at chastain road if that's easiest (don't know where you're coming from). I have a big exam tomorrow and might not be able to check this too often so my number is 404-580-5725 if you (or anyone) needs to get in touch with me. Can't wait!

Chastain Rd. park and ride is where? Off 75 in town? Like I said, let me know where you want to meet and I'll meet there. Being an hour South of the city, it is as far to go one place as another for me, really. Time wise, I'm taking Friday off, but would like to use the day to make sure I've got a few last second things together. If not, then I need to start getting things together earlier, I realize, which is SOON. Let me know what's up, folks.
