Ok, I'm not a huge fan of credit cards, but it is how I mananged to earn enought points to go on a free 5 day cruise.

If you are going to buy gas, groceries, and that new outdoor gear, then why not earn something a little more for your purchase.
Have ya'll seen the REI Visa Card offer lately? It comes with a $40 gift card and 5% back on all REI purchases.. Woohoo.

You don't want to have to pay the high interest rate that this Visa card carries, so make sure you use any credit card with discipline and pay it off monthly if you are able to do so. That's the best way to get the full benefit out of a card like this otherwise it's not worth it in the long run.
