Sunday alcohol sales petition is online

Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and Senate leaders stalling legislation calling for a vote on Sunday alcohol sales say they haven't heard from Georgians on the issue, but that's about to change.

An online petition supporting the Sunday sales vote had garnered about 3,500 signatures late Monday in less than a week without much publicity.

This should be posted in a more visible location. I think signature should be required for entrance to a Dave Gregory party.

are online petitions taken seriously yet? i've signed them before (and i'll sign this one), but i'm unsure how effective they actually are.


in any case...i have a feeling that Perdue would let it collect dust on his desk like he did the last time instead of signing it into law, because, you know, nobody, especially the government, likes collecting tax revenue an extra day each week...
