Gear websites

Postby benjt on Mon Jan 21, 2008 9:50 am

Hey folks! Here are a few good websites for cheap gear. Reply and post any you may have.

REI Outlet
REI has a sister website which has bargains and closeouts. Just go to their website and click Outlet tab. Be sure to follow the link on the AOC website so we get credit!

They post one deal until it is sold out. Visit often to find the most bargains.

Click the "web bargains" link near the top. Occasionally they have awesome deals on sunglasses.

www.SierraTradingPost.com
I've never bought anything here but others swear by it.

cheaper gear option

Postby kattmartin on Mon Jan 21, 2008 1:57 pm

Here's an option for new and gently used gear for those not willing to pay the exorbitant retail prices at REI:

990 Brady Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30318 P:404-892-4326 F:404-529-4544

Store Hours, 10am-7pm, Monday thru Friday, 10am-5pm Saturday, closed Sunday

The Gear Revival is a locally owned, outdoor specialty shop. We buy, sell, and trade new and gently used gear for outdoor adventure. You will find screamin’ deals on gear and clothing for hiking, camping, skiing, climbing, white-water paddling, mountain biking, orienteering, adventure racing, fly-fishing, rafting, caving, snowboarding, sea-kayaking, trail running, and more. If you live the outdoor recreation lifestyle, you should give us a look; you'll definitely save some money, and you might just make some money!
