Interesting article about a new trend in National Park visits.

I'm somewhat torn on this. I like the idea of people getting outdoors and seeing our beautiful parks. But if anyone has been to Yosemite or Yellowstone during peak visitation times... well it's quite insane. So I think some decrease in visitation could be a good thing.

In my ideal world the parks would be structured in such a way to force people out of their cars. Then get rid of the stupid ugly resort like complexes some of them have.

I read a similar article on cnn.com, but this one seemed to blame videogames...

I agree with you about the "mixed feelings"....it's nice for solitude if there aren't crazy crowds there, but if less people go to these Parks and fall in love with them, then there won't be as much passion for future conservation efforts.

And yes, those "ugly resort complexes" are obscene....I still don't know how they got a golf course in Death Valley. Question
