Chatooga Rafting

Postby tcollins on Wed Feb 25, 2009 5:03 pm

This is from Chip Collins at Wildwater, Ltd. Rafting.
I am interested in two things. It is that time of the year, and I am hiring Chattooga guides, old and new. I am also very interested in marketing the Atlanta market in this next rafting season. Tourism is certainly taking a lick, and I am guessing that a large share of my guests this year will come from a 300 mile radius, or what amounts to a one day's drive. So--- the other side of the coin is, as you may know, we have one of three commercial permits on the Chattooga. We don't do shuttles anymore, leaving that to the Chattooga Whitewater Shop, which we support. We do offer clinics, camping, a base for hiking, birding, camping, fishing and boating in the Chattooga corridor. Also, obviously, we do commercial rafting. We do offer group rates. I would love to hear from the group about any ideas or needs we might become involved in.
